Are you in

"Are you in debt? What does it mean to be in debt?

Debt is something that we owe to someone. When we have a debt, each month we make a payment until the account is paid off in full. There are those who have an account that is never paid off and they remain in debt all their lives.

The human race is in debt, not the type of debt that you can pay off with money. It is a type of debt that can only be paid by the blood of Jesus Christ. We cannot pay this debt, Jesus did this on the cross for us.

The debt that we have, and the debt that we owe, is called sin. The Bible says... "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." The debt of sin has been run up to its maximum by the devil, that we are not able to be free from it.

The Bible says... "So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate." This is when our debt began. But God was able to take that debt, that sin, and make a payment in full for each and every one of us. The Bible states... "for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." To abolish the debt that we owe, God gave us a sacrifice which was his Son. The Bible says... "But God commends his love towards us and while that we were yet sinners Christ died for us." The Bible also states... "for the wages of sin his death." The sin is a debt that we owe. Because of this debt that we cannot pay, we all must die one day. But, that verse is not finished, The Bible states... "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord."

Now, this debt that we owe, was paid through Jesus Christ. For us to receive that payment, we must do as the Bible says... "whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." It is time to get rid of your debt, and allow the blood of Jesus Christ to pay your debt, not to just get caught up or almost paid, but it is time to get it PAID IN FULL!"
